Typesy Added Feature: What to do Next

Categories: Typesy Feature |

Learning new skills can be overwhelming. It can be even more overwhelming when you already have a busy schedule. That is where Typesy’s new feature comes in handy! The “What to do Next” section of the home screen is amazing at helping you stay on task and keep up with skill-building even when you have a busy schedule and a million other things on your mind.

This feature will appear on your home screen and remind you to complete tasks that you have either already started or need to start. You will also be reminded if you have an assignment due or overdue. There will be an area where you can click to continue the task, so you don’t even have to figure out what to do when it reminds you.

Once you have finished with one course you will be reminded and encouraged to move on to the next. For example, if you are learning about the home row and just finished up a course, you will be reminded that the next step is to move on to the “ASDF” section.

Let’s check out an example of how this is helpful. Let’s say you are halfway through a course on the home row. You will log on, and in the “What to do Next” section you will find a reminder telling you to pick up where you left off. You click on the reminder and you are brought to the course where you can now finish it up.

Once that is complete you can return to the home screen. Now you can see what has been completed, and a prompt, for example, “Continue with Home Row! 80% completed!” This serves two purposes. One is to help you more easily navigate to your next required course, and the other is to continue to motivate you to continue on to reach 100%.

The What to do Next feature is a great way to stay motivated and on-task. It also allows students a quick view of what they have to do and helps them pace themselves and set a good schedule.
